Description

Abstract (2 pages) in pdf file is attached as required by the ECLIM abstract template.
This contribution should analyze the impact of picosecond ramp of ultrashort laser pulse on target normal sheath acceleration (TNSA) of ions as well as on the propagation of ultrashort laser pulse through the so-called plasma shutter (which is an ultrathin solid foil or a membrane used for the improvement of laser pulse contrast). This study is done with the help of particle-in-cell simulations using the code SMILEI.
