The ENEA Casaccia Research Center is located in Osteria Nuova, at km 2 of the Anguillarese provincial road, approximately 28 km from the center of Rome and 10 km from Cesano.
We are organizing a private shuttle service departing from Cipro Metro Station (Line A) to reach ENEA Casaccia R.C. For those unable to catch the shuttle for any reason, the Center can also be reached by public transport:
TRAVELLING BY PLANE
From Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (Fiumicino), you can take a regional train to Roma Ostiense and then transfer to the FL3 regional railway line (Roma–Cesano–Viterbo) (see “By Train” section).
Alternatively, you can take the Leonardo Express train to Roma Termini and then use Metro Line A to reach Valle Aurelia station, where the FL3 railway line is available.
From Giovan Battista Pastine Airport (Ciampino), several bus services connect the airport to Roma Termini railway station, with stops located just outside the arrivals area.
There is also an ATRAL service to Anagnina Metro Station (Line A), as well as ATAC bus line 520, which connects the airport with Cinecittà and Subaugusta Metro stations.
From any of these Metro Line A stations, you can reach Valle Aurelia, where the FL3 railway line is available (see “By Train” section).
BY TRAIN
The nearest railway station to the Center is Cesano di Roma, located about 5 km away. It is served by the FL3 Trenitalia line (Roma–Cesano–Viterbo), which at certain times extends to Roma Tiburtina and Monterotondo.
The FL3 line also stops at Valle Aurelia, where it connects with Metro Line A, and at Roma Ostiense and Roma Tiburtina, where it connects with Metro Line B.

· Alternatively, you can take the ATAC bus line 024, whose terminus is located directly in front of one of the Center’s entrances (stop: Anguillarese/ASL Casaccia).
Additionally, the ATAC bus line 030 runs from La Storta and Olgiata stations (both served by the FL3 railway line) and stops close to the main entrance of the Center (stop: Quero/Anguillarese).
